I’m so excited to announce that I will be in the Heartful Soul Artist Collective Auction this month. The auction starts next week on 15 October.

Please come along to cheer me on. You are more than welcome to just come and have a look and a comment. You totally don’t need to bid unless you want to. I will joined by a collection of amazing artists who will be showcasing their newest works! The pic below has all my latest works that will be up for auction. I don’t normally take photos of a group of my work like this. I find it really interesting to see them together though. I like how they have a consistent style. I normally feel like I change my styles so often that I don’t have much consistency. Glad I was able to keep to a similar style for my auction offerings.

SUNSHINE COAST YOGA & ART RETREAT

A UNIQUE EVENT ON THE SUNSHINE COAST!

Yahoo!, we have a Yoga and Art Retreat coming up in May on the Sunshine Coast!

There’s a story here about how this Retreat came to be…Donna walks into a gallery in Coromandel New Zealand, where she had never visited before, where Dhyana happens to work part time. It was one of those syncronistic meetings that only lasted about 10 minutes but seemed to reveal uncanny similarities in thoughts and ideas between the two of them.
They casually set the intention to collaborate and host a Retreat on the Sunshine Coast where Donna lives, not really realizing how a chance conversation would lead to a manifested reality so easily.

Two short face to face meetings and a few skype sessions has resulted in a surprise friendship, where instant connection and hilarity has unfolded. This has brought to their attention how quickly you can make friends when you have the same interests, how cool it is to actually connect with new people and join talents to offer something new and different. Both Dhyana and Donna have a desire to enhance lives and to encourage people to be creative and live a more balanced life. So, they would love you to come and enjoy a weekend away, full of laughter and relaxation while unleashing your creativity and getting inspired.

This is my latest piece inspired by Annie Hamman from her lesson in Let’s face it. Annie is a wonderful teacher and artist. I love learning from her. She’s a real sweetheart too!

Not sure on a name for this yet…. maybe ‘Strength’ but still undecided.

Brisbane Art Prize 2016

I was so excited and honoured to be pre-selected for the Brisbane Art Prize 2016 from hundreds of entries from all over the world!

The theme for the competition was ‘The meaning of life’.

The opening night was at the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts, Brisbane. Here I am at the opening night with my friends and my entry titled ‘Let your light shine’. My idea for the theme came about as we are called by God to let our light shine to the world. My plan was for my subject to emanate light. I think I succeeded.

The opening night was a great success with huge crowd! Thank you to The Glance Photography who took some fantastic pics!

I’m teaching on Let’s Face It 2017!

Hello Friends!

I am so excited to announce that I am going to be a guest teacher in LET’S FACE IT 2017! It is a year-long, online, art class created and hosted by Kara Bullock, devoted to creating portraits! It is for any level: beginning, intermediate, and advanced. The 2017 Let’s Face It class has a BRAND NEW line up of amazing teachers, and five new areas of focus, with some other exciting extras too!

This year, Kara is joined by 19, AMAZING, guest teachers! Together, we will be giving you 50 weeks of lessons that will continue to encourage and support you along your creative journey! Come and join us! Together we will connect, collaborate and create!

Since faces are my favourite thing to create I feel very blessed and honoured to be one of the teachers. I will be teaching you how to mix a palette for dark skin tones and paint a child’s face. Plus, I will share a special tip and mini lesson, too! This course is not open for registration yet! However, you can read more about it and bookmark this page so that on October 10^th, you can come back and register. If you register by December 1^st, you will get a discount on the price too!
