‘Her many colours’

I have been painting a lot of faces lately!
I’ve got a bit of catching up to do on this blog!
Sharing this one I did last year to get things started.
She has been sold but I have plenty more coming.

Sunshine Coast Show Art Competition

20150610_201422~2Woo hoo,  I won a 1st prize for ‘The owl and the pussycat’ in our local show. I looked at the other entries and didn’t think I had a chance of winning.  Thankfully the judges thought differently.  Feeling very grateful.

20150610_200635Clive Palmer presented me with a highly commended award for my mixed media giraffe. Yay!

STAND BY ME

Work in progress. Did this a couple of weeks ago. Still have a few finishing touches to make but I must say I am rather liking it. Most of my paintings go through many different stages but this one came together very quickly. Now, lets see if I can do that again! Hmmm.(Deer (purplepink)

Artist Retreat

10013693_10203390123614394_1635535891_n    On the weekend I went to an amazing Art Retreat at the beautiful Mapleton here on the Sunshine Coast! I had a fantastic time painting most of the weekend with lots of other lovely ladies and a few men. The bond I formed with these people in such a short time astounded me! The weekend was such a success that we will be doing it again next year. Yay! I can’t wait! Plus, I actually managed to almost complete a painting from start to finish. This is it here in progress. I’ll post another photo soon of the finished product.
